Sales up for Dodge Caliber

October 2011

Dodge Caliber

The Dodge Caliber has recorded increased sales for the month of August.

According to VFACTS figures, the Dodge Caliber had a strong month - moving 343 units - resulting in an increase of 250 per cent for 2011 year to date.

Chrysler Australia national sales general manager Veronica Johns was pleased with the result, which saw the Dodge Caliber securing a 1.9 per cent market share in the small car segment.

“The boldly-styled hatch is resonating strongly with customers,” Johns said.

The Dodge Caliber has been on sale in Australia since August 2006, when the brand had its national launch.

US magazine Wards Auto reports the 2013 replacement for the Dodge Caliber could possibly make its debut at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January.

However, there is uncertainty as to whether it will adopt the Caliber name or attempt to forge its own identity. The 2011 Dodge Caliber will make way for new cars built and designed by Fiat - which Chrysler is now under the management of.
